We are located in the Village Hall of the picturesque village of Trottiscliffe, in Kent. We have a spacious classroom, well equipped with Montessori materials. The outside environment consists of a large grassed, wooded area and well equipped recreation ground where children enjoy nature walks and outside activities.
We provide a safe, secure and carefully prepared Montessori environment, indoor and outdoor, for 2-5 year olds. We give children opportunities to engage in spontaneous, purposeful activities with the guidance of trained adults. Through their work, children develop concentration and joyful self-discipline. We ensure that within a framework of order, children progress at their own pace and rhythm, according to their individual capabilities.
We adhere closely to the Montessori approach to education, making children calm, confident, responsible, independent learners and inspiring them towards a lifelong love of learning.
Our Forest School activities provide children opportunities for risk taking, problem solving and developing respect and empathy for all living things.
We use 'My Montessori Child', through which parents are able to see their children's progress and follow home learning suggestions to reinforce their children's learning process.
